Brent Stamey, LMHC

Brent’s calling and passion is to help people discover the fullness of what God has for their lives.  Brent believes that God has a plan and purpose for every individual and family and that He gives us the gift and opportunity to co-author this epic story with Him.  Brent is passionate about working with people and has a heart for the hurting and broken.  Brent’s specialties include relationship building, spiritual formation/development, trauma/abuse and addictions.  He has the ability to help clients become comfortable with themselves and the painful feelings that they may be carrying, in order to come to a place where they can deal with the past in order to change the future.


In 2005, Brent received a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Lee University, Cleveland, TN.   Brent continued into higher education receiving a Masters of Arts in Family & Marriage Therapy in 2008 from Richmont Graduate University, at the Chattanooga, TN campus.  Richmont Graduate University is one of the oldest graduate programs specializing in Christian counseling with over 70 years of dedication to excellence.   He has worked in the mental health field since 2005 in various settings including co-occurring residential facilities, educational settings, private practice and co-occurring outpatient treatment facilities; working with a variety of clients and populations. He holds a license for Mental Health Counseling (LMHC) in the state of Florida.  Additionally, He holds ministerial credentials with the Church of God in Cleveland, TN.


From 2008-2012, Brent spent his time working at Tri-County Human Services, Inc. in Lakeland, FL. At Tri-County, he served in the roles of a family intervention specialist and adolescent counselor. At Tri-County he conducted adolescent and adult psychosocial assessments, held individual and group counseling sessions, and worked closely with families who have struggled with addiction and mental health issues.  He also served in directing clinical case consultations in their weekly meetings; in which staffed discussed issues and status of ongoing cases.  Brent currently is the director of Transcript Ministries and Pastor of H.O.M. Church in Spring Hill, FL; a counseling ministry that integrates professional counseling from a Biblical worldview.
